With more than 31,500 students, Amiens is a university town with a lot to offer in terms of learning opportunities in a wide range of disciplines. There are also sandwich courses and schemes for returning to learning through in-house training.
UNIVERSITY OF PICARDY JULES VERNE
Many of these options are available through the UPJV.
A wide range of courses are available in the following departments: languages, psychology, pharmacology, medicine, sociology, law, political sciences, history, geography, economics, art, sport, biology, physics and chemistry.
The University Institute of Technology also offers courses on the following specialist subjects: biological engineering; mechanical engineering; corporate and administrative management; marketing; mechanical and product engineering.
The UPJV also has an institute for preparing for French civil service entrance exams, a business school, a Master’s course in Business Informatics and a teacher training programme.
The UPJV has an international students service for helping students from overseas to get settled.
UniLasalle
Students at Unilasalle (Graduate School of Engineering) begin with a 2-year preparatory cycle, followed by a 3-year engineering cycle. During their final 2 years, students can choose to specialise in one of the following fields: Network and Telecommunications Systems; Robotics and Industrial Engineering; Electrical Engineering for Sustainable Development; and Energy Efficiency in Buildings.
THE ÉCOLE SUPÉRIEURE OF ART AND DESIGN
Three-year degree courses in design and graphic design; Five-year degree courses in digital design and postgraduate degree courses in Typography & Language; there are also three- and five-year degree courses in art and animation (Waide Somme).
AMIENS ESC
Bachelor, Master and MBA programs in the following fields of expertise: business, finance, international, HR, webmarketing, marketing, sales, project management and supply chain management.
THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AND PHILIPPE PINEL HOSPITAL
These establishments offer university-level courses in the fields of medicine and paramedicine (including nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, theatre nursing, anaesthetic nursing and midwifery).

ASSOCIATION FOR PROFESSIONALISATION, RESEARCH, SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT IN SOCIAL WORK
This association offers 7 diploma training courses in healthcare and social work.
PICARDY CNAM (National Institute for Engineering and Professional Studies)
Engineering courses are offered in a range of fields (agribusiness; construction and public works; IT; mechanics and logistics; risk prevention; and electrical systems); in addition to courses in management and business (economics-management; marketing-sales; human resources). These courses are available as sandwich courses, evening classes, via remote learning, in-service training or as part of a VAE (a validation allowing educational institutions in France to grant degrees partly or completely based on work experience).

Almost 50 courses are offered here, ranging from 2-year apprenticeships to 5-year courses in a variety of fields: construction and public works; mechanics; HSE; agribusiness; chemistry; accountancy; human resources; marketing; business; IT; online; agri-resources, etc.
